Helen attended Hendrix College and graduated from the University of Arkansas. She met the love of her life, Glenn Fidler, at the University of Arkansas, soon after Glenn returned from World War II. They were married March 22, 1947 and lived in Prairie Grove and Lincoln, Arkansas until they moved to Okmulgee in 1951.

In addition to raising her children, she was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, P.E.O., Bridge Club, Ladies Golf Day and the Garden Club. We will always remember her beautiful smile, which never faded, even in her last days on earth.
When Glenn retired, Helen and Glenn enjoyed traveling in their R.V. Helen especially enjoyed fishing in Estes Park and exploring in San Diego. As grandparents, Helen and Glenn gave each grandchild the gift of a week in Estes Park with Momo and Papa when they were nine years old.
